Janice is an experienced and well respected home economist. Her career spans across many years and she has a wealth of knowledge from working in all areas of the food industry. She began her career working with Unilever, developing and researching cake mixtures and pastries. This resulted in her being one of the first Home Economists to introduce the ‘All in one’ method of baking.
Baking is one of her true passions which has enabled her to write many books on this complex but satisfying subject. One book is being used for an educational qualification in cake making, icing and decorating. She has since written a further 28 recipe books covering a wide range of subjects.
To enhance her experience she became an assistant cookery editor for many top food magazines including Good food magazine. During this time she wrote numerous features and books covering all aspects of food nutrition and diet, but her main skill was creating and making outstanding recipes for front cover issues of magazines.
Today, she works for some of London’s top food photographers including advertising agencies and video production companies. Recent work includes creating ideas and recipes for Haagen Dazs worldwide. Janice is renowned for her keen eye, attention to detail and versatility.
